Zen Donuts, CSS Zen Garden

Summary

The CSS Zen Garden is a website that displays the power of css-driven websites. The basic idea is that the entire site consists of one page, and designers can change the look and feel of that page by contributing css and images. The popularity of the site has transformed it into what some would consider a rite of passage for a css designer. My contribution to the garden was a parody on Dunkin' Donuts, my primary source of nutrition during the all-nighters I'd pull before project deadlines in College. It's got some tricky visual effects such as the diagonal image that skews the text scrolling out from under it, and a semi-opaque navigation area acheived through overlayed jpgs (from Eric Meyer's Complex Spiral Demo).
